All OII assessments and professional development aligns with ISTE National Education Technology Standards (NETS) , the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education Standards (NCATE), and the American Library Association's (ALA) Information Literacy Standards for the 21st century.

Other  national organizations have developed standards, and individual states have developed core curriculum standards.  The edStandards.org provides one of the most comprehensive listings available.

By aligning our professional development with national standards that contain quality indicators and objectives, alignment to state standards is usually a simple procedure.
