Overview

The Online Internet Institute combines
People, Process, and Products

The Online Internet Institute (OII) originated in 1995 with the help of funds from the National  Science Foundation. OII set out to help teachers restructure the classroom and infuse technology across the curriculum.

OII continues its work today as a nonprofit, standards-based, results driven organization, offering professional development and workshops to help students and teachers improve classroom achievement.

OII provides educators with a learning environment to support integration of technology and Internet into their individual teaching styles. We offer a combination of online and onsite collaborations in which participants may develop curricula specific to their needs.

OII differs from other online tutorials and teacher professional development institutes, because it allows you to develop quality online projects for your classroom by starting where you are and going where you need to go.

OII offers teachers experience in inquiry-based learning, enhanced by technology, so they can effectively support this type of learning for their students.

Teachers, media specialists, and administrators choose OII, because it provides a national collaborative structure to support their local staff development efforts.
