During the early days of Internet this was one of the most popular tools. Telnet provides a way for you to hook up to a remote computer and actually run a
program that resides there. Today, streaming audio, video, and multimedia plug-ins are quickly taking the place of telnet. Of course there are still MANY uses of telnet. TIA
