router
A router is a piece of hardware that is responsible for sending signals to their destinations.  There are like electronic traffic  cops. Routers exit at all levels of networking from the lan level on up to fiber backbone of the net.

RTFM
This Internet shortcut as a few meanings. There is a computer at MIT that is named RTFM and it houses the  FAQs to thousands of newsgroups.  So if you want to find out information about specific newsgroups, find the MIT computer and Read The Fine Manual. (This is the GP version of the acronym.)
