mailing lists
Mailing lists, or lists are the way many people with similar interests exchange information and messages with one another. You may subscribe to over  65,000 publicly accessible mailing lists and it won't cost you a penny, unless you subscribe to the adage, "Time is money." In that case high volume lists that generate upwards of 100 messages a day can be "expensive."

majordomo
When you subscribe to a list you often send a message to a computer rather than a person.  A majordomo is one of about three different types of computers setup to manage mailing lists. Listserv and  listproc are the other two types.

Mosaic
This is the name of the GUI browser that started the Internet explosion. The development team went on to develop Netscape,
