"See, we can still pluck yew! PLUCK YEW!"

Does this seem a little hard to swallow to you? It's hard for me to imagine 5000 wet, tired soldiers saying "See, we can still pluck yew! PLUCK YEW!" Maybe in a Monty Python  movie, but not on a 15th century battle field.

Can you find any other reference to what was SAID at the "finger waving ceremony"? If so, what did they say?
